This magical archipelago is full of mystical ancient heritage sites, stone circles, wildlife, distilleries and breweries, topped off in the Summer months by a beautiful iridescent light and fields of wild flowers. The Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights, are frequently seen from Orkney, mostly in the Winter, but the midnight sunsets in mid-Summer can be equally spectacular too.

Filming sites for this popular TV series are spread fairly evenly throughout Central Scotland and the Southern Highlands. A 2,3 or 4 day itinerary is perfect for seeing the majority of the main locations

A new and unique concept in exploring the best of Scotland, by road and off-road; road touring in the morning and trekking in the afternoon. For keen walkers and hikers this is the best way to experience trekking in different areas of Scotland

Island hopping Scottish style! Mull, Iona, Skye, Barra, Colonsay, Uist, Harris, Lewis.....the list is endless! This is a great option if you want to really get away from it all

Don't miss this often forgotten corner of the country with its rich in history, dramatic coastline and picturesque fishing villages

Rolling green hills, ancient abbeys and charming market towns make Scotland's border lands a unique area to visit

Multi-day hikes in the mountains and on some of Scotland's best known long distance trails such as the West Highland Way, either escorted or self-guided with support vehicle & luggage transfers. Following the positive response I have had after floating this idea with clients I will definitely be rolling out a 'Tour & Hike' option next year. From 2019 I will be offering  'Tour & Hike' tours where you can see some of Scotland's beautiful scenery from the van en route to the next overnight destination, then in the afternoon go for a hike and absorb some nature and fresh air on trails that I have selected for you, either self-guided or with me as your guide.

I am now doing tours to Shetland and Orkney, the two most northern archipelagos in Scotland with some of the most amazing coastal scenery in Europe, abundant wildlife and ancient history. Tours to Shetland and Orkney can be easily be combined as the islands are linked by ferry. I am currently working on Shetland and Orkney tour pages - watch this space!
